Win,
Well I just bought a "3500" from toshiba's website, but I don't think there is any difference between the 3505 and the 3500 as far as the website is concerned. However, I have noticed that the tablets with more RAM and hard drive space seem to fall under the 3505 category while the bare-boned version is considered a 3500. If you buy it from Toshiba directly, you can max it up to 1024MB RAM and a 60GB hard drive [8D], and it is still just called a 3500. Hope that helps,

I think "3505" is just Toshiba's retail model number. As opposed to "3500" being bought direct from them. No material difference in specs.

I just purchased mine from circuitcity.com a few days ago--the 3505 models were in stock. When the Tablet arrived two days later I couldn't believe it-- it came with 512 MB of SDRAM instead of the advertised 256 MB and it also came with a DVD drive--which also was not advertised on the site. The price is $2499.00. I just checked their site and they are in stock right now.

Stupid $200 tax if you live in California added at CircuitCity. When you buy direct from Toshiba, is there also tax added? They are in Califronia, right?

I might also add that I did pay a tax of $152.00 when I purchased my 3505 from circuitcity.com and I live in Savannah, GA. I believe that if there is a Circuit City store in your home state they are required to charge tax. The issue for some folks, however, is how quickly will Toshiba be able to promise delivery if you order directly from them? Circuit City delivered to me by the next business day--they also offer a 14 day money-back guarantee (excluding shipping charges). If you have a Circuit City in your area you can return the product directly to that store and thus will not have to incur additional shipping charges to return it.

I could be wrong, but in my research on purchasing the Tosiba I found that the 3505 came with a DVD drive and a one year warranty while the 3500 did not have a DVD drive and had a tree year warranty. You could get a CD drive with the 3500 if you purchased through Toshiba directly.
I believe this is the only difference.
