Please Note: After re-reading my post below, I realized it read more like an advertisement. I MAKE NO APOLOGIES, I love this thing!

I was very concerned about which new Tablet to purchase. So many different configurations & variables. But, all it takes is reading this website (especially the other manufacturer discussion forums) and the Motion comes out on top.

WHY? GREAT all around choices of design: 12 inch screen, lightweight, right amount of buttons, 1394, PC Card, USB, awesome wireless built in (that is stable and has good performance at large distances), nice simple All-In-One keyboard and mouse.

Thanks to TabletPCBuzz and to Motion! I now know I didn't waste my money on the wrong machine! :D

How often do you use the Motion in slate rode? When I first got mine I was about 50/50, but now I'm about 90/10 slate.

I was the same until recently. However, I haven't used my keyboand in weeks!

deweyduo, I worry too sometimes about sounding like a "cheerleader" for Motion, but also can't help it or apologize for it. It's amazing to be soooo happy with a PC purchase, and after 2 full months with it too!

P.S. Also 100% slate use.

I agree with you all! The Motion is awesome! It is not the fastest PC I own, but it is the one I use the most because of the slate form-factor, wireless networking, and great battery life.

Same here. I researched for months before recommending the Motion for purchase. I've only had it three weeks and have used the keyboard maybe five times since then. I just like the slate factor. When I was testing the waters and I picked up the Acer and the Portege I hated the design of "always" having the keyboard attached. Besides, if something happens to this keyboard, just get another one at your local computer store.
Still waiting for the exec portfolio case and a few more pens.

I did quite a bit of investigation, also. Buying an expensive product form a little known company- and in the firt iteration foteh product also- made me do my homework. But once I had done it, Motion was the obvious choice for me.

I've never once regretted my choice. This is one of the best mobile PC's I've owned.

ditto - I was a little nervous about my purchase of the motion about a month and half ago, but I am very happy. It is the most useful, fun, and productive computer I have ever owned and a perfect choice for me as a medical student.

I must agree, of all the Tablets I've purchased for my office, the Motion is the clear winner and the unit I personally use of course!

Just put in an order for one. I played with a floor model at the local Gateway store. Even the wife liked it. :) Woohoo!

I just have to chime in and say how much I like my Motion.
I didn't want to start my own thread just to say "I love my
Motion" and now I don't have to. I can just append a msg here.
:-)

I just wanted to let people reading these msgs trying to
decide what tablet to get that I really like my Motion.
It's very very nicely designed. It has a good selection
of ports, reasonable weight, battery life, and performance,
and a wonderful good size display.

I was at my diner a couple of weekends ago having breakfast
with my Motion with me. On seeing it another customer at
the diner has since ordered his own Motion! Way cool.

Last night I used it to read a C++ technical article while
siting on the couch in front of the TV. Last week I sucked
a DVD onto the hard drive and watched Minority Report while
lying in bed.

I can't even begin to list all the ways my Tablet has improved my life. Tonight is the first time I'm leaving it home while I take some people to dinner. It's going to feel weird without it there. I manage several databases remotely and my Motion has added tremendous mobility to my life. I look forward to them dropping in weight, but otherwise it's about perfect.

Anyone notice on the motion website that the speed has been upped to 933mhz?

Of course they did... since I got my motion (866) last week. (Loving it though)

I didn't notice that until just now! After reading your post I went back to my order receipt to see if I got the 866 or the 933, and there it was. Kudos to Motion for their batch fulfillment system that lets them sneak in freebies like this. What a nice surprise.

I just took a survey, and I was mentioning the 866 to the polltaker and he mentioned something about it being upgraded...
