My turn to give some advice. It's well worth investing in one of the books (I like the tablet PC Quick Reference,by Jeff[8D]:D Van West, Microsoft Press). I've been a PC user (primarily Compaq) for the last 15 years, I thought I knew what there was to know about PCS. However, don't underestimate that this is a new technology and it has its nuances. The book walks you through really customizing your tablet, which I have found is KEY to using it to its full potential. I admit, I thought customization was just a matter of my desktop themes, but there a number of settings for the performance. I suspect that some problems I've seen posted may cured by really tinkering with the settings. It takes an afternoon or two of sitting down and going through it, but I think it's worth it.
Just a note, I am not related to the author nor do I work for Microsoft. :D I just love my tablet and do not know how I made in life this far without it!

I have to agree it's a good book. I bought it before I got my TC1000 and it helped me decide on the tablet instead of a new and more powerful laptop. Actually, it's the only book I could find. Does anyone know if there are others out there?

Vote # 3 -- great book. I too got it before my TC1k. It does a good job helping to understand the things you get on a tablet that you get nowhere else!

There is another book coming out ath I think will be good. It's called "Tablet PC for Dummies". I think superb books, particularly if you're new to something. Jokes are okay too. Should be out mid-March. I've read all of their Windows, Office books and found them useful and easy to follow. There's also another one, but I don't know anything about it. I just saw it on the barnes and noble.com site. It's called, "How to do Everything with Your Tablet PC" by Bill Mann. Hope that helps.
