Hi,

What comes with the Tablet? I read the specs on: http://www.neccomp.com/products/Versa/litepad/Specs.htm and think that you will get the USB CDROM, keyboard, and mouse included with the tablet. Right?

What about Alias Sketch Pro? This is 99% of the reason why I am buying a Tablet PC and would like to know if this is in fact the FULL $149 version of the software, or if this is just the demo that you can download for free. I read in a previous post that this is just the demo, and you get a coupon to upgrade. If this is true, how much is the upgrade and how long does it take? Can I upgrade online?

Thanx for an help on this.

A.

the CD-ROM, mouse and keyboard - and desktop stand - are included.

- don't know about the Alias sw, but why don't you just buy a sketchpad and add it to your existing system, pay for the full version of Alias and save $2400?

Second part of your answer did not help much. I have a Wacom attached to very computer I owned since 1993. And you can't take those to the starbucks and doodle there.

Incidentally, are the NEC Wacom Penabled? Or do they use the other technology (i.e.. Stylus with battery)?

I agree, the second part didn't help. you're ready for a TPC.

The LCD is a 10.4" XGA w/Digitizer - Wacom pressure sensitive, and the NEC includes .5 mm & .9mm digitizing pens.

Can anybody explain the 0.5 mm and 0.9 pens?
Is this how the pen thickness is controlled?

I just went to the data sheet and read the real numbers, they are 5.5 mm and 9 mm pen thickness.
Thanks.

We ship with two pens. One pen is for your desk. The other fits into the unit on the top right corner. You don't control that. They are built that way. Personally, I carry my thick pen everywhere. It's a lot nicer to use than the thin one. I'm ordering a couple of extras, too, just in case I lose one.
