So, today my MC1200 started "clicking" from the speaker. Muting, disabling driver, etc. doesn't fix it. Starts "clicking" from POST. Basically makes the unit unusable. Anyone experience this?

Motions chirp, we think its the hard drive. It's described as a happy chirp. But that can't possibly be confused with something negative. Have you tried reinstalling the driver? I had a similar problem with a desktop and reinstalling fixed the problem.

It is definately the speakers. Reinstalling driver does not help. Since it happens from boot, I doubt it is a driver issue.

Your probably going to need to send it back. Hopefully Steve will see this thread and give you some help. Did you just get it?

Hi Mitch,

I suggest that you call Support at 1-866-322-9783, I don't have any other ideas, given that 1) it happens at boot, and 2) you've tried re-installing the drivers.

Good luck!

Does the Motion use a Crystal audio card? My Dell Inspiron laptop does and it would produce a chirping sound. I solved the problem by installing generic Intel audio drivers.

I haven't ever heard my tablet chirp. But if it does, I think the consensus was that it is likely to be the hard drive, not the sound card.

Thanx!
