What is going on here? Three times I've put my Motion in stand by mode. The screen goes blank and the power light flashes. I put the hard cover over the screen and put it in my bag. Later, I go to use the machine and it is extremely hot. I touch the screen with the pen and brings up the login screen. It's not supposed to go into hybernation, but I'm wondering if that is what is happening, but the hybernation fails and leave the computer on.

This is killing the battery & I'm worried that damage will be done to the electronics as I don't think its getting good air in the bag. If I have to shutdown to transport this machine it will not kill me, but it looses a lot if I have to wait for it to boot up. I have a lot of software installed and it takes my machine a few minutes to get to where I can use it.

Anyone else have similar problems? Any fixes?

Thanks,

Hi -

This isn't how mine works. Are you putting it into standby with the power switch?

I think my first suggestion would be to reset your power management to Motion Optimised, or whatever standard setting you choose, just to make sure that something isn't weird with those.

What it sounds like to me is that it isn't actually going into standby, and then it hibernates. You might watch it go all the way to where you expect it before snapping the cover over the screen.
My second suggestion is to call Support. They are happy to help with anything like this.

Thanx!

It was my mistake. I switched the mode to max battery and did not turn off hibernalion.
