Not the computers fault, but I forgot that I left the tablet on my chair and sat on it. crack... : (

It still works, but the frame and screen are cracked. What should I do?

OUCH! Too bad Motion hasn't started offering accidental coverage yet.

Most Credit Card companies offer purchase protection for 90 days after purchase.

I dropped my TC1000 30 days after I bought it. American Express sent me a check in 2 days for $832 (ouch) for the repair. I buy everything with American Express!

Screen on the Motion made of cheap plastic or something? The Toshiba, Viewsonic, and Compaq screens I've seen are easily strong enough to sit on (although not true for the Acer).

Have you tried to sit on it? Please try to sit on your tablet and give us a test of how many actually support your weight... :-)

I don't think that *any* screen would do well when you sit on it, especially considering the surface that the screen is on.

Twice and counting on a Compaq - and I weight 255 (lbs, not kilos ;) ). Not only did the screen not crack, but none of the internal parts stopped working either. I also described a rather bad fall my tablet took last December in another thread, and came through with nary a scratch. Lucky? Undoubtedly - but you always have at least some influence on your own luck and sturdiness is a great mitigator of clumsiness.[helmet]

Oh good grief. Can we move beyond the "my TabletPC is better than yours" childish arguments?

Well, we already knew the Compaq wasn't pressure sensitive... :)

LOL! Well, as far as I've seen (not in the my tablet is better than yours, just to refute the arguments here) in regular use, my tablet is quite sturdy. I haven't sat on it, or dropped it, but I love it too much to subject it to such use, so I am careful with it.

I hate to think what the "pressure sensitive" message might have been when I sat on it! Also lucky the voice recognition wasn't on during either of those episodes! :D
