I'm looking for a really great case to protect my baby. I like using the hardtop when I put it in my bag, but l would like something to protect it when I carry it from office to office.

Any suggestions?

BTW This is easily the BEST purchase in years for me!:D

I've been pretty happy with my Motion standard portfolio case -- since I cut off the unattractive clear plastic thingy. It does add to the weight though, and doesn't offer too much protection. But I feel a little safer.

I'm thinking about getting a slip case from sfbags for inside my backpack.

I'm pretty happy with my Motion purchase, also. Enjoy!

I recieved my Motion over a week ago, but I'm still waiting on my slip case. I have found a nice tote back by Case Logic that I recommend. It's very light weight and protects the Motion well.

I use the executive leather case. At first l did not like it but now that l have been using it for a month it has grown on me. l prefer to carry it bare but having a place to put business cards is a Nice Plus. My slip case is sitting in the corner of my office under a pile of Paperwork--- Needless to say l have not found a use For it yet.

Does the executive leather case block access to the USB ports or AC plug?

I ordered the executive leather case last week. I'm glad to read that it's grown on someone. Initially it seemed like nobody was really thrilled with it.

For some reason, it feels weird to carry the Motion to meetings "naked". I don't know how much I'll use the case, but it felt awkward not having one.

No, both the USB and AC ports are open...the phone/LAN/video ports are not.
I used an Exacto knife and cut a "flap" to get to those ports.

I've been following this forum for a while, but didn't want to respond until I received my Motion. I've had it for a week now, and wondered how I functioned without it. The only thing missing for me was the case. I have the exec case ordered, but it's taking its sweet time getting here. Glad to see other people use it (even though some of the posts claim it "smells"). It's getting real annoying carrying it about naked.

I haven't noticed a smell. I use it only when I am not carrying my keyboard with me- in that case I know I'll be cradling it for a while, and the case is good for that purpose.

I've been told that a whole bunch of cases were shipped on Friday, so I hope yours is on the way...

Thanx!

Thanks, Steve. You wouldn't know anything about pens wouldja? I'm also looking for them. It's been two weeks now.

Never mind about the pens. They just arrived. I've always wondered why mnfrs use such BIG boxes for such little items. I had to fish around in all those foam peanuts to find the pens. Ah well.

The exec portfolio case just arrived. It's beats the heck out of the hard cover, and is perfect for my needs. However it does emit an odor. It's not the leather, but the rubberized tablet holder frame that's the culprit. It will dissapate over time (I hope) but I could smell it even before I opened the box. Ah well.
