Can someone tell me if the Motion unit has a PCMCIA slot to upgrade the usb to a 2.0 and does it have a floppy. How do you transfer info, wireless? Any thing you guys can add with regards to the unit I would appreciate.

Thanks

Yes, there is a PCMCIA slot, which among other things could be used to add USB 2.0 ports. No Tablet PC comes with a floppy drive, but if really needed, you could get an inexpensive USB floppy drive. The Motion does ship with a firewire DVD/CDRW drive. You can also install things or transfer files over a network too, of course.

Bottom line, as a quick review of the posts here will confirm, most people ave very happy with their
Motion Tablets!

Thanks Yvilla:
what is the average battery life on your unit? did you have any difficulties with any of the programs.

Thanks again

Hard to say for sure, because I've never really measured battery life--I'd guess maybe 3 hours, maybe less with constant wifi, more with wifi turned off altogether.

Have had no problems whatsoever. (Except the one we've all apparently had--the cracked end cap--and since that's purely cosmetic I haven't been willing to part with my Motion to get it fixed).

I get close to 3.5 hours with wifi and sound in use. Keep in mind that I'm not downloading enormous files, just doing browsing/IRC. I'm also using headphones instead of the built in speaker.

I do keep my screen relatively dim though.
