View Full Version : Hello, can somebody please help me to find drive
Hello, can somebody please help me to find drivers for my touchscreen on an Mitsubishi Amity XP M3071 or tell me which controller is in.$
The screen works in bios (phoenix xpen) but not at windows stratup, no drive...
thanks a lot for any kind of help
what do you mean by no drive?
thanks for interesting to my reqest.
I mean that i don't have the original cd manufacturer
for the Mitsubishi Amity XP M3071 (266 mhz), so i don't have any
drivers for any devices on it.
I find drives for C&T 69000 video adapter, ess audio drive but
not for the touchscreen. I don't know the manufacturer of the
touchscreen and/or the controller.
The touchscreen works in bios, the pen initialized by bios, all
bios menus are checked with (or not if keyboard) pen.
But when quit the bios and load windows, Because i have no driver,
the touchscreen don't works.
What i really need is : The original manufacturer cd (for drives),
or to know what kind of screen and/or controller it's on it
(mean Elo, Wacom, 3M, etc), to download appropriate driver on their site.
If you have any informations it would be great, and maybe i can do something for you?

I assume you have checked out http://www.mitsubishi-mobile.com/support/techsupport_downloads.htm#AMiTY%20XP
You do not say what OS you are trying to use. And that could be a problem since some versions of MS Windows is not supported...With a machine of that age,you may not be able to locate...

The rar file is almost 7mgs.
Thanks to Northern Rebel, seem to have no problem of size in e-mail box cause it's a professional server let's try it!!
Message to Motion1 did you really go on mitsubishi site?
did you see any download for the amity xp?
It works on W98...
The support services had been closed in July 2000!!!
I don't care to know that w2000 is not supported because there is no pen services on it , what i need is a touchscreen driver man.
I find news myself : the screen is a Toshiba LTM08C346M
but no more informations about the controller...
Thanks as well

Your welcome Legi, glad I could help.
hello, big up for this topic as i get this tiny tablett pc .
i managed to have the 800x600 screen but no way to have the touchpad working.
i had the 7 meg files drivers and followed step by step the readme for the .reg and for the cicreco but in the control panel, when i launch the new handwriting icon, it drops me out saying "pen windows 2 needs to be installed" (msg from the top of my head)
i have a folder with penserv and i copied all in windows/system
but no more luck.
using usb memory key and pcmcia wifi is fine, only that touchscreen (important thing isn't it for a tablett) pb to fix.
any help appreciated.

Here you go Raphael.... and here are some tips from installing the pen drivers.
Go to your control panel, click on add/remove programs, go to the Windows Setup tab, click on have disk, the point windows to penserv folder. Install pen services and close the windows, reboot. After the reboot open explorer and again go to the RECO folder and read the CICINSTA.TXT and follow the instructions there. This should get the pen drivers working. Let me know how it goes....
hummmm
windows basics...
i should be tired. i'll make it a try and let you know .. for sure.
thanks to you for a quick answer.

One more thing...you will have to reinstall CIC again, even though you installed it before. It rewrites some of the original files that are installed by Pen Services (penserv). Make sure you install CIC from DOS, not a windows DOS screen
that simply!
works perfectly, thank you very much northern rebel.
to thank you and the forum, here is a link to my blog with a photo review of the tablet.
thank you again.

i tried to boot from external pcmcia cd drive but it boots from hdd, even if i change the boot sequence.

None were ever written for 2000 I'm afraid. It might be possible to make it work modifing other PC drivers but no one has made it work I know of.
