tecra m7 quirk

Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me with something that has been bugging me. I have a tecra m7 and unfortunately got some malware on it. I removed the malware but after words I had a little problem with my wallpaper. It wont center itself when going into portrait mode. But ,here is the weird thing, if i have the desktop settings set to "show icons" the wallpaper centers itself with no problem what so ever from portrait to landscape and vice versa. I know its a picky thing about not having icons on the screen but i really just like having them in my taskbar. Any theories or help would be awesome.

oh yeah i installed the latest rotation utility from toshiba and display drivers and installed them. Thanks again.
