Any hints on this possibility?
The move from WiFi to WiFI & BT involves a new mother board
What about the upgrade to WLAN only?
Let me know!

As nobody answered, I found the answer myself.
Few cables, antenna, plastic housing, and PCI express card
The only thing that is missing is the LED cover with the WAN sign, however the LED being is there si it should be visible when on
I am ordering the parts and let you know how the upgrade goes

Thank you. I would like to know too. I've looked at the maintenance manual and it looks simple if you have ever assembled a ship in a bottle.

Got all the parts today except one that may arrive end of next week. More to come later.

So I got the Sierra Express card in tonight, I had to remove the Intel Turbo Memory which was using one of the PCI slots... But cannot see any performance degradation. I downloaded the drivers from the Lenovo web site. ThinkVantage provides all the SW config necessary to configure data access.
So just need to get the antenna in... to get a signal
By the way I found the Icon Plate with the WLAN icon in it on the maintenance guide

Hi kikouyou,
did you get a new back cover of the LCD or is it possible to attach the WWAN antenna with the standard cover?
Are you still happy with your upgrade?
regards,
Thomas
Hi Eric - I'd be very grateful if you could kindly let me know how you are getting along with your newly installed mini-pci hsdpa device and antenna. I'm tempted to do this upgrade too. How much did the required kit cost?
Regards, Richard.
