How is TX1000z perform?

looking for a budget tablet notebook for my friend to use in school, came across the tx1000z on sale now, wonder how it overall performance? any pros or cons? can anybody give some idea? Does vista has build-in hand writing input function? thanks

I have heard that the machine runs okay. The biggest complaint has been the pen and screen. It's a touch screen rather than active digitizer. This causes a lot of broken lines when using the pen. Also, you can't hover the pen to move the cursor.

I wanted one until I heard about the pen problems.
